GIVE IT A DRINK
Keep the growing medium lightly hydrated, but avoid leaving the turf soaking wet.
How quickly it dries will depend on where you keep it, the temperature, sunlight and how frequently your pet uses it.
Think hydrated — not saturated.
GIVE IT SOME LIGHT
Your turf will be happiest with access to natural light.
A bright balcony, patio or spot near a window is ideal. If you're using it indoors, periodically moving it somewhere with better natural light can help keep it greener longer.
LET IT BREATHE
Good airflow helps living grass stay happy.
If possible, avoid keeping your turf in an enclosed, excessively humid or constantly damp location.
YES, IT MAY GROW
That's a feature, not a bug.
Your Urban Turf is alive, so you may notice continued growth after it arrives. If it gets a little unruly, a light trim is perfectly fine.
AND YES — YOUR PET CAN PEE ON IT
That's what it's there for.
Normal discoloration and wear will occur with regular use. The more frequently the turf is used for relief, the sooner you'll likely want to replace it.
You can help extend the life of your Urban Turf by purchasing a pet-safe urine neutralizing lawn spray, which can be found at most major retailers such as Amazon, Chewy, or Home Depot.
KNOW WHEN TO SAY GOODBYE
Eventually, your Urban Turf will start looking tired. That's normal.
When the grass becomes heavily worn, develops significant odor, or simply isn't looking like a place you'd want your pet hanging out anymore, it's time for a fresh one.
Our grass is fully-compostable and land-fill friendly. Dispose of it any way you wish.
Remove the old turf, clean your reusable tray and pop in a new Urban Turf Grass Refill.
